Gregor Podnar[Please scroll down for German version / Für Deutsch bitte scrollen Sie nach unten] Galerija Gregor Podnar is pleased to present Light Solidarity, Vadim Fishkin’s (b. 1965, Penza, USSR) sixth solo exhibition with the gallery. The work of this Ljubljana based artist comprises objects, sculptures and installations that challenge the concepts of materiality and immateriality of ideas. The works presented at Light Solidarity are described as a poetical existence between elements such as light, time, and movement. Resulting in a humorous yet deep understanding of the representation of material objects. The dematerialisation is not Fishkin’s final goal, on the contrary, it’s a form that allows him new ways of understanding and representing reality. Installations and sculptures would be the focus of the exhibition allowing to dive into Fishkin's theatrical set. ***** Galerija Gregor Podnar ist erfreut, Light Solidarity, Vadim Fishkins (geb. 1965 in Penza, UdSSR) sechste Einzelausstellung in ihren Räumen vorzustellen. Das Werk des in Ljubljana lebenden Künstlers umfasst Objekte, Skulpturen und Installationen, die sich mit Konzepten des Materiellen und Immateriellen und derer Ideen auseinandersetzen. Die Werke der Ausstellung beschreiben eine poetische Existenz von Elementen wie Licht, Zeit und Bewegung. Sie resultieren in einem humorvollen und eingehenden Verständnis von Repräsentation materieller Gegenstände. Die Dematerialisierung ist dabei jedoch nicht Fishkins endgültiges Ziel, sondern ganz im Gegensatz, sie ist für ihn eine Ausdrucksweise, die ihm erlaubt Realitäten zu verstehen und abzubilden. Im Fokus der Ausstellung sind Installationen und Skulpturen, die das Eintauchen in das fishkinsche Bühnenbild erlauben.
