SaltsGarage Marvelous Persona at City Salts is the first joint exhibition by Basel-based Osama Al Rayyan & Kelly Tissot, unfolding in the Garage and bringing together practices that operate at the intersection of image, space, and narrative construction. Informed by Magical Realism, with its merging of the ordinary, the fantastical, and the uncanny, Palestinian-Syrian painter and sculptor Al Rayyan's expressive figures carry a seductive, palpable tension, embedded within French artist Tissot's practice, which combines large-format analogue photography with sculptural and architectural elements, unfolding in spatial configurations.
