Opens Saturday, May 9 On the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Leandro Erlich presents Hybrids. Leandro Erlich al Negozio Olivetti, curated by Marcello Dantas, as a collateral event of Biennale Arte 2026. Conceived for the historic Negozio Olivetti in Piazza San Marco, the exhibition unfolds as a dialogue between Erlich’s sculptural practice and a space where design, culture, and vision have long converged. The project brings together approximately twenty works, including several previously unseen sculptures. Through hybrid organisms where vegetal, mineral, architectural, and anthropomorphic forms intersect, Erlich constructs a visual language that challenges stable categories of perception. Operating between the familiar and the uncanny, these works suggest that artistic form is not merely representational, but generative: a force capable of reshaping how reality is imagined and inhabited. In this context, Hybrids emerges as both an exploration of metamorphosis and a reflection on the porous boundaries between nature and artifice, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship to space, matter, and perception. A project by Associazione Arte Continua in collaboration with FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano, with the support of Galleria Continua.
