Project Room [Scroll down for French version / Veuillez trouver ci-dessous la version française] The gallery inaugurates a new project room dedicated to emerging creation with a first focus on the young artist Loïc Morel in his final year at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (Figarella workshop). As a fifth-year student at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Loïc Morel (b. 1998, France) became fascinated with film and photography, thus orienting his artistic career towards these fields. The writings of Serge Daney, Jean-Luc Godard, Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Derrida have led the artist to a deep introspection on the nature and the stakes of the image. His field of interest is particularly focused on the psychic and technical force involved in visual representation, as well as on the mechanisms that establish a connection between the pictorial image and the represented image. ***** Étudiant en cinquième année à l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, Loïc Morel (France, 1998) s'est passionné pour l'image filmée et photographique, orientant ainsi son parcours artistique vers ces domaines. Les écrits de Serge Daney, Jean-Luc Godard, Gilles Deleuze ou encore Jacques Derrida ont incité l'artiste à une profonde introspection sur la nature et les enjeux de l'image. Son champ d’intérêt s'est particulièrement porté sur la force psychique et technique impliquée dans la représentation visuelle, ainsi que sur les mécanismes propres à établir une connexion entre l'image picturale et l'image représentée.
