The exhibition brings together over thirty local and international artists. Held in an in-situ constructed environment on the 5th and 6th floors of a late 20th-century postmodern high-rise building, My Story Gallery will propose a space of inception of sorts, to introduce novel artists and works of art to the context of Seoul and to also host the emergence of Sister, a newly formed art space which will manifest itself in Seoul in the coming year. Together with High Art, an established contemporary art gallery from Paris, France, Sister presents its inaugural exhibition as My Story Gallery, which coins its title from adolescent diaries that could originally be found within stationery stores in South Korea and Japan (and now ubiquitous everywhere). My Story Gallery refers both to the story of an art gallery (whether forming or formed) and to the analogy of the diary itself, its function as a space for the primary development of world-building, identity construction, and fantasy creation.
