Founded in 2016 in New York by Marcelo Zimmler, Upsilon has quickly established itself as an exciting, growing international art gallery and fine art print publisher, specialising in post-war and contemporary art. This marks Upsilon's first permanent international location, joining its outposts in New York and Miami. Located at 64 Grosvenor Street, Upsilon, London, occupies approximately 3,000 sq ft over two floors, presenting a dynamic programme of exhibitions, talks, panel discussions, and book signings. Continuing Upsilon's mission to champion historically overlooked artists, the new gallery will also focus on nurturing new talent and amplifying marginalised voices within the art world. The gallery aims to showcase artists lesser known in the UK, bringing them to global audiences. Upsilon particularly focuses on European artists who have migrated to the US within movements such as Minimalism, Colour Field, Pop, and Abstract Expressionism. Its vision is to cultivate transatlantic dialogue driven by quality, academic scholarship, and innovation. The Mayfair gallery will be led by Managing Director Nolan Browne, supported by Directors Jade Straker and Lana Ivanyukhina. The inaugural exhibition is a dynamic group show, featuring the gallery's core artists. It will present a kaleidoscope of vibrant, colourful, and celebratory works that highlight Upsilon's international and thematic approach. The exhibition showcases works by a stellar lineup of artists, including Italian-American Osvaldo Mariscotti, American talents Francine Tint, Willard Boepple, Susan Roth, Nicolas Carone, Duane Bousfield, and Stephen Bezas, German painters Bernd Zimmer and Uwe Kowski, British painter Clyde Hopkins, Colombian sculptor Edgar Negret, Chinese-born German artist Xinyan Zhang, Greek artist Ioanna Gouma, and German-American artist Ali Eckert.
