Gitana Rosa Project SpaceGitana Rosa Williamsburg Project Space is proud to present The Reciprocity of Looking, the first New York exhibition by photographer Dana Buhl. Rooted in the vernacular, her work offers a meditation on the strangeness of looking. Using the camera as a tool to transform the dynamic world into a series of static artifacts, Buhl reveals symbols and manipulates their meanings through the sequencing and installation of her photographs. These non-linear narratives raise questions and provide fluid revelations in their attempt to identify what is seen and what could be. The Reciprocity of Looking functions as a palimpsest dependent upon its viewers to be written (and rewritten).
