Designed as a meeting ground, the exhibition highlights the unique artistic approaches of each artist while celebrating the diversity of their interdisciplinary practices. The works, crafted from a variety of materials – marble, neon, clay, aluminum, plants, textiles – convey a sense of tangible reality while instilling a sense of boundless time and space. Each piece invites viewers into a singular microcosm, revealing an intimate facet of the artist's universe. Although these universes are distinct, they share a common grounding in the present moment, drawing from nature and its relationship to contemporary dynamics. They exist as a coherent reality, independent of reality itself, allowing viewers to mentally project themselves beyond the exhibition space. The title of the exhibition, Interfluvia, refers to a fertile area located between two neighboring rivers, where flows and transformations converge. This scientific metaphor unfolds as a space for artistic exploration, where the natural cycles of life – exchanges, metamorphoses, regenerations, energies – materialize in the form of artworks. Motifs of icebergs, tropical plants, flowers, specters, and raw and transformed materials such as clay, marble, dried plants, aluminum, glass, and rubber engage in a dialogue with nature and its perpetual rhythms. ***** La galerie frank elbaz est heureuse de présenter Interfluvia, une exposition collective réunissant les œuvres de sept artistes : Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili, Mathias Augustyniak, Chloé Delarue, Anne Le Troter, Yoan Mudry, Sergiu Ujvarosi et Bojan Šarčević. Conçue comme un espace de rencontres, l’exposition met en lumière les démarches artistiques singulières de chaque artiste, tout en valorisant la diversité des pratiques pluridisciplinaires. Les œuvres, façonnées à partir de matériaux divers – marbre, néons, argile, aluminium, plantes, textile – explorent les notions de présence et de temporalité. Chaque œuvre invite à découvrir un microcosme singulier, dévoilant une facette intime de l’univers propre à chaque artiste. Bien que ces univers soient distincts, ils partagent un ancrage commun dans l’air du temps, puisant leurs ressources dans la nature et ses relations avec les dynamiques contemporaines. Le titre de l’exposition, Interfluvia, fait référence à une zone fertile située entre deux cours d’eau voisins, où flux et transformations convergent. Cette métaphore scientifique se déploie ici en un terrain d’exploration artistique, où les cycles naturels de la vie – échanges, métamorphoses, régénérations, énergies – se matérialisent sous forme d’œuvres. Motifs d’icebergs, de plantes tropicales, de fleurs, de spectres, ou matériaux bruts et transformés tels que l’argile, le marbre, la plante séchée, l’aluminium, le verre et le caoutchouc : chaque création engage un dialogue avec la nature et ses rythmes perpétuels.
