Whether it's expressions of fleeting natural phenomena articulated across metal, wood and glass by New York-based artist Miya Ando or sweeping gestural brushstrokes distilled into a series of intimate silk paintings by Mexican artist Ricardo Mazal, the hand of the artist is clear.
