Our summer exhibit features an exciting mix of recent acquisitions and discoveries, including mid-century paintings by “A. Dill” (Delaware River - Bowman’s Hill Tower), several works by the African American preacher/painter Reverend Joel Hewlett (1921-1994), striking portraits by the Italian farmer Pietro Ghizzardi (1904-1986), powerful African American and Native American textiles, an Atomic-Age Adventist Polemic, works by Vincent Smith (1929-2003), Nat Werner (1908-1991), Sal Salandra (1946-), and exceptional examples of Black Folk Art with additional surprises.
