I Was Always Good

Abigail Ogilvy

13 September – 3 November 2025

Abigail Ogilvy Gallery is pleased to present I Was Always Good, Tallulah Dirnfeld's first solo exhibition with the gallery. The exhibition features a series of oil paintings that stage the quiet rituals of control. Faceless, uniformed figures are poised within tightly composed interiors. Made beds, braided hair, glinting chrome. Every surface is cared for, every gesture rehearsed. Stillness becomes a form of tension, suggesting that even in silence, something is pressing inward. Tallulah Dirnfeld (b. 1994, NYC) is a Los Angeles-based artist known for emotionally charged, surreal scenes that explore memory, identity, and femininity through a psychological lens. Curated by Ana Makharadze
