De BoerDóra Benyó Adelheid de Witte Sam Druant Joke Hansen Karsten Krogh-Hansen De Boer (Antwerpen) is pleased to present Handmade in Belgium, a group exhibition including works by Belgian-based artists, Dóra Benyó, Adelheid de Witte, Sam Druant, Joke Hansen and Karsten Krogh-Hansen. A coinciding group exhibition called Handgemaakt in Amerika at the gallery's Antwerp location includes works by American-based artists Teresa Baker, Layo Bright, Salvador Dominguez, Rema Ghuloum, Matthew Kirk, Erick Medel, Azikiwe Mohammed, and Esteban Ramón Pérez. Handmade in Belgium brings together the intimate, tactile, and conceptually layered practices of five contemporary artists living and working in Belgium. The exhibition highlights a collective sensitivity to material, gesture, and the poetics of everyday life. These artists, though varied in medium and methodology, share a devotion to process, texture, and the quiet resistance of slowness in a hyper-digitized world.
