Around 100 galleries from 32 countries feature pioneering international positions in contemporary art at Messe Basel. The 30th anniversary edition of Liste brings together a dynamic mix of emerging and more established galleries. Over 40 of them make their debut at the fair this year while around 50 galleries return to Liste, whose outstanding programmes contribute significantly to contemporary art. Discover all the galleries of Liste 2025. This year marks the first edition of Liste under the new directorship of Nikola Dietrich. With a deep understanding of the nuances of artistic developments and her sense for relevant discourses in contemporary art, she shapes the direction of the fair with a precise and considered approach, creating an environment where art can spark dialogue and reach an international audience. The fair features a newly designed spatial concept by Basel-based architect Martina Kausch, creating unexpected visual connections that range from concentrated meeting areas to an open plaza. The redesign also expands the space for Liste’s curated programme. Together with curator Jacob Fabricius, we present a series of daily performances by numerous international artists. Distanz Verlag introduces the Spine Book Forum, showcasing over 100 new books from 30 publishers. Artist Tina Braegger invites children to participate in workshops under the title Painting Grateful Dead Bears. In the programme Show and Tell, curators, artists, writers, gallerists, and collectors engage in discussions through panels and talks. Featured Guests present Wall, a platform for invited artist-run and non-profit spaces, alongside the Helvetia Art Prize, further enriching the fair with a broad range of perspectives.
