Long Story Short

3 June – 20 June 2025

Long Story Short Paris proudly presents Karl Hab's inaugural solo exhibition in Paris, on view now. Perspectives marks the premiere solo exhibition in Paris by Karl Hab, the acclaimed French photographer renowned for his influential works such as "24H Los Angeles", "24H Hong Kong", and "24H Paris". Based in Paris, Hab has meticulously documented urban landscapes over the past decade, employing a distinctive visual style characterized by clarity, structure, and graphic precision. This new series showcases 15 captivating photographs captured across Paris, Los Angeles and New-York. The exhibition is divided into two distinct sections: one focused on symmetry and visual dialogue, while the other presents images in complementary pairs, creating a rhythmic flow throughout the space. Several pieces are unveiled to the public for the first time, never before exhibited or published. Highlights include breathtaking aerial views of Paris captured at sunset, offering unprecedented perspectives on the city's architecture and urban layout. These images unveil Paris from a fresh angle, serene, expansive, and yet unfamiliar. Additionally, Hab's personal connections are evident in photographs reflecting his passion for aviation, scenes from La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles, and the iconic hallway of the former TWA terminal. With Perspectives, Karl Hab invites viewers into his world, where everyday scenes, overlooked angles, and subtle shifts in light are transformed into poignant moments that demand contemplation.
