This exhibition brings together five artists from different areas of the country, each crafting bold and unique visions of potential timelines and imagined futures. Through an array of media that pushes the boundaries of traditional print—including sculpture, video, and installation—On Futurity invites us to consider the possibilities that lie ahead, understanding that we must not rest comfortably in the present but rather dream and enact new, better worlds. Each artist reimagines social and political landscapes in their work, urging us to dream boldly and aspire to create transformative new futures. New Voices: On Futurity presents the third iteration of Print Center New York's annual open call program. It provides opportunities for a cohort of emerging artists to present and develop their work through a group exhibition, artist-led public programming, focused conversation and community-building, and individualized resources for professional and artistic development. The exhibition is accompanied by a modest publication and artist-led public programming.
