J’arrive!

Cabane Lucas Erin, a Jamaican-French artist based in Lausanne (CH), reflects on relations between humans, matter, and social forms, shaped by processes of gardening and counter-extraction. His solo exhibition «J’arrive!» at City SALTS transforms the Cabane in the garden into an immersive installation. The Cabane originates from Sol Calero’s 2015 transformation of the former garage into a Caribbean house-like environment, establishing a spatial and social framework later reconfigured as an exhibition space. Erin reactivates this structure, unfolding it as a new narrative shaped by his Caribbean heritage. Lucas Erin is the recipient of the Manor Art Prize Waadt 2026.
