Alex BernsZoë Argires' (b. 1996) exhibition, Miss Circle, includes paintings of angels, a nighttime pastoral, cryptic fauna and geometry. In Argires’ pictures there is scope to the phantasmagorical and a bleak humanity. The factura is sticky with unusual and bright petimento, slathered not to affect but as an index of work. Zoë Argires was included in group shows at White Columns, 2022 and Anton Kern, 2025. Miss Circle is Argires’ first solo exhibition in NYC and first exhibition with Alex Berns.
