Episode 16

Back Room Katie Shannon (b. Glasgow) is the latest artist to participate in Goldsmiths CCA's ongoing commissioning series, Episodes. Based between Glasgow and London, Shannon works across visual art, performance, writing, and event making. Her practice considers the event as a medium in itself, shaped by long term research driven projects which unfold within and beyond gallery contexts. Drawing on sustained engagement with the histories of musical subcultures, feminist re-readings of time and space, and fascinations with pedestrian and public forms, her work traces the social, psychogeographical, and material conditions that structure shared experience.
