In this new series of silk works, Fran Chang explores deserted, silent, yet inhabited spaces, traversed by invisible forces. This singular relationship with the world is rooted in Fran Chang's personal history. Born in Brazil to a Taiwanese immigrant family, the artist draws on this experience of cultural and perceptual displacement as a constant source of creation. For her, seeing differently is not a posture but a condition of existence. She composes her paintings from sensations, fragments of memory, and scattered narratives. Each piece becomes a place of resonance, an attempt to listen to the world in order to better inhabit it. ***** Bremond Capela a le plaisir de présenter la première exposition personnelle en France de l’artiste Fran Chang, intitulée Hear the Wind Sing. Dans cette nouvelle série d’œuvres sur soie, Fran Chang explore les espaces désertés, silencieux, mais habités, traversés par des forces invisibles. Ce rapport singulier au monde s’ancre dans l’histoire personnelle de Fran Chang. Née au Brésil dans une famille immigrée taïwanaise, l’artiste, puise dans cette expérience du décalage culturel et perceptif et en fait une source constante de création. Pour elle, voir autrement n’est pas une posture, mais une condition de l’existence. Elle compose ses tableaux à partir de sensations, de fragments de mémoire, de récits épars. Chaque œuvre devient alors un lieu de résonance, une tentative d’écouter le monde pour mieux l’habiter.
