Chin's PushChin’s Push is pleased to present Gut House, a solo exhibition of new work by Mitra Saboury. Couple pinches on my side. The surface has weight; another cover, another day. Walls hold us tight like organs inside skin. Gut house. In my hole there are videos in my windows and pimples for every corner. These are works from reactions; measuring moments by the weight of their pinch. Mitra Saboury lives and works in Los Angeles. She completed her MFA at Goldsmiths and BS at the University of Pittsburgh. Recent exhibitions include Touch Everything, Smart Objects; The London Open, Whitechapel Gallery; The Future Can Wait, Victoria House; Jealous Award, Saatchi; Dance like…, Rhubaba Gallery. Saboury was awarded the 18th International Open Prize at Woman Made Gallery 2015, International Women’s Erotic Art Prize 2014, MAstars Axisweb award 2013, and featured in Edward Lucie-Smith and Zavier Ellis’ 100 London Artists. Upcoming shows include Grand Union, Birmingham; and Alter Space w/ Derek Paul Boyle, San Francisco.
