Country Offside
Ausstellungsraum KlingentalValentín Demarco Nina Kunan Oz Oderbolz Curated by Violeta Mansilla Literary contribution by Gabriela Cabezón Cámara Country Offside is a research and exhibition project that reviews the fundamental fictions, of the gaucho and the farmer, that govern the collective imagination of the Argentine and Swiss nation. The artists Nina Kunan, Oz Oderbolz and Valentín Demarco explore the performative and sensual qualities of objects to reinterpret certain patriotic habits, symbols and traditions from a queer and postcolonial perspective. The exhibition invites us to imagine utopian narratives, to ask the possibilities of a new folklore and to rethink the myths that we celebrate.
