Konrad Fischer Galerie is proud to present Rachel Harrison’s first exhibition with the gallery. Titled Bird Watching, the exhibition presents six new sculptures and a series of recent photographs by the artist. Rachel Harrison is well-known for her sculptures and installations with various artistic references and stylistic means. In a critical and humorous fashion, Harrison’s work often combines handmade forms with found objects or photographs, bringing art history, politics, and pop culture into dialogue with one another. Rachel Harrison was born in 1966 in New York. She received a BA in fine art from Wesleyan University in 1989. Her works have been featured in exhibitions worldwide, including important solo presentations at Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo (2022-23); Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2019-20); The Museum of Modern Art, New York (2016); Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland (2015); Kestner Gesellschaft, Hannover (2013); S.M.A.K., Ghent (2013); Whitechapel Gallery, London (2010); and Portikus, Frankfurt am Main (2009-10), among others.
