The show brings together nearly 40 artists from four generations whose practices span painting, installation, video, sculpture, and photography, working in Los Angeles, Chicago, Mexico City, New York, and beyond. Triangle Projects began in a one-hundred-square-foot room under the stairs in a studio building in downtown LA. Twelve solo exhibitions came to life in this unconventional space from April 2022 to March 2023, featuring artists including Aryana Minai, Angela Chen, Jenny Gagalka, Patrick-Earl Barnes, Carly Sheehan, Jacob Lenc, Pallavi Sen, Jayden Breen-Greco, Sophie Harpo, Eve Axness, Bahareh Khoshooee, and E. Saffronia Downing. Since leaving its original space, Triangle Projects has mounted two group presentations and one solo installation, featuring the work of twenty-five additional artists. Triangle Projects Presents! brings together work from all of Triangle’s previous shows in North Loop West’s Chinatown gallery. The exhibition highlights four generations of artists from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Spanning video, painting, sculpture, installation, and performance, these practices have been in ongoing dialogue through shared exhibitions and the Triangle Projects umbrella. For the first time, artists from the project’s first three years are presented in direct relation to one another, with their varied personal histories made manifest in a specific time and place.
