Croy NielsenWe are pleased to present an exhibition with two Vienna-based artists, Soshiro Matsubara and Joanna Woś, in a temporary space on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, close to where the gallery was located for 5 years before moving to Vienna. Soshiro Matsubara (b. 1980 in Japan) had his first institutional solo exhibition, Caresses, at MACRO Museum of Contemporary Art, Rome (2021). Further solo exhibitions include Golden Sorrow, Union Pacific, London; Study for a Labyrinth, Bel Ami, Los Angeles (both 2022); and True Romance, Croy Nielsen, Vienna (2020). Upcoming and recent group exhibitions include Braunsfelder, Cologne and Modern Art, London (both upcoming 2023); Another Surrealism, Den Frie Museum of Contemporary Art, Copenhagen and Museum Sønderjylland, Tønder (2022). Joanna Woś (b. 1991 in Poland) is currently part of the group shows I saw the other side of the sun with you at Cromwell Place, London and Obsession I at Echo in Cologne (both 2023). Further group shows include Der Radwechsel, Heiligenkreuzerhof, Vienna (2022); Portraiture One Century Apart at Massimo De Carlo in Milan and Common Nocturnes at Simone Subal in New York (both 2021). Solo exhibitions include Precious and Tender at Croy Nielsen, Vienna (2022) and Sweat at Wschód, Warsaw (2020).
