Abstractive
Allouche GalleryGeorge Beckman, Ross Bleckner, Stanley Casselman, Faile, Eric Freeman, Nick Georgiou, David Mach, Antonella Magliozzi, Reinoud Oudshoorn, JM Rizzi, Revok Allouche Gallery, is delighted to present Abstractive, an international grouping of eleven abstract artists. Each artist's work reflects a deep exploration of color, form and emotion. This showing will present a wide range of abstract art forms, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media works. From Ross Bleckner, whose famous works reflect on mortality and the ephemeral nature of life, to Faile’s distinct approach merging street art and pop culture, Abstractive encompasses a diverse representation of abstraction. Classical meets grit through showing the manifolds of non-representational art. Artists such as Faile, JM Rizzi, and Revok highlight how roots in street art and graffiti can lend to gestural abstraction. Color and movement breathe life into these vibrant works from artists that represent both street and classical art. Combinations of color and texture allow for the movement and vibrancy of the paint to buzz with an energy nostalgic of graffiti. From a more traditional approach, we find artists such as Ross Bleckner and Eric Freeman. The subtle meditative qualities of these works resemble organic occurrences, microscopic and macroscopic- from soft mist to cellular bodies. The calm ease that radiates from these works make them charged with an energy unique to each work. There is life beyond the paint.
