In this solo show, the artist furthers his exploration of the notions of community and otherness through a range of media—sculpture, canvases layered with newspaper and silver leaf, and photography—displayed within a pristine white setting. For more than three decades, Rirkrit Tiravanija has developed a pioneering practice that redefines conventional exhibition formats, offering critical reflections on human relationships and the social, cultural, and political frameworks that shape them. ***** La Galerie Chantal Crousel est heureuse de présenter une nouvelle exposition de Rirkrit Tiravanija, réunissant des œuvres inédites, dont certaines réalisées en collaboration avec des artistes, amis de longue date. L’artiste poursuit son exploration des notions de communauté et d’altérité à travers différents médiums : sculpture, toiles recouvertes de papier journal et de feuilles d’argent, photographie, présentés dans un espace blanc immaculé. Depuis plus de trente ans, Rirkrit Tiravanija développe une pratique qui détourne les codes traditionnels de l’exposition pour interroger les relations humaines et les conditions sociales qui les traversent.
