Kamel MennourNeïl Beloufa, Hicham Berrada, Mohamed Bourouissa, Valentin Carron, Latifa Echakhch, Liam Everett, Petrit Halilaj, Camille Henrot, David Hominal, Alicja Kwade, Matthew Lutz-Kinoy, Christodoulos Panayiotou, Robin Rhode During the gallery’s 20th anniversary year, Kamel Mennour presents Indian Summer, an exhibition featuring 13 contemporary artists whose experimental practices have made them some of the most prominent artists of their generation. Kamel Mennour opened his eponymous gallery in 1999 and today represents over 40 artists and estates across a diverse spectrum of contemporary artistic practice. Across its three galleries in Paris and space in London, kamel mennour continues to present ambitious exhibitions informed by an artist-centric ethos. Many of the artists in Indian Summer such as Mohamed Bourouissa, Latifa Echakhch, Camille Henrot and Alicja Kwade have been with the gallery since its beginnings and have shaped its programme. Kamel Mennour is known for its dedication to realising visionary projects and for gaining recognition for its artists internationally; through supporting exhibitions beyond the gallery at institutions, biennales and fairs. Currently, Alicja Kwade’s ParaPivot is The Met's Roof Garden Commission for 2019 (on view until 27 October); Hicham Berrada’s work is on view at Hayward Gallery (until 18 August) and at the Pinault Collection’s Punta Della Dogana in Venice (until 15 December); Neïl Beloufa features in May You Live In Interesting Times at the 58th Venice Biennale (until 24 November) and Latifa Echakhch is at the Fondazione Memmo in Rome (until 27 October). This autumn, Christodoulos Panayiotou has a solo show at Camden Arts Centre (26 September 2019 - 5 January 2020) alongside a show at the Musée d'Orsay (19 October 2019 – 19 January 2020). Forward-thinking in its programming, this autumn Kamel Mennour will also host its first solo exhibitions with Neïl Beloufa and Ugo Rondinone, who recently joined its roster.
