About
Founded in 2007 by Jose Martos, Martos Gallery relocated from Chelsea to its current Chinatown space in 2016 after 16 years. The gallery serves as a creative platform for internationally renowned artists working across various media, organizing critically acclaimed exhibitions while also representing the Estates of Dan Asher and Kathleen White. The front room features May 68, a book and record store with rotating art displays curated by Bob Nickas, and Martos also operates the itinerant project space Shoot the Lobster.
