About
Tibor de Nagy Gallery was established in 1950 by Tibor de Nagy and John Bernard Myers, operating as a salon for artists and poets through exhibitions and collaborative publications. The gallery presents work by contemporary artists while also showcasing Post-War Second Generation New York School artists. Known for launching the careers of major artists including Carl Andre, Helen Frankenthaler, Red Grooms, and Grace Hartigan, it was also the first publisher of poems by New York School Poets John Ashbery, Frank O'Hara, Kenneth Koch and James Schuyler. Located on the Lower East Side since 2017.
