The exhibition gathers works from several influential artists, each presenting a unique vision of the natural world through various mediums. Michael Mazur's 'Seasons by a Pond' series from 2000 is a set of four paintings that capture the transformation of a landscape across the seasons. Andrew Raftery offers 'The Autobiography of a Garden on Twelve Engraved Plates,' a set of twelve engravings meticulously transferring natural scenes onto glazed white earthenware. Samella Lewis's 1962 'The Garden' uses oil on canvas to reflect the intimate relationship between humans and nature. Tim Braden's 2025 piece, 'Charleston (notations),' presents a contemporary perspective with its acrylic on linen composition. Finally, Cathy Lu's 'Peach with Nuwa's Hands' in 2024 blends ceramics, glaze, gold luster, and incense sticks, creating a tactile reflection on heritage and mythologies within natural contexts. Through a combination of historical and contemporary practices, 'The Garden Reveals Me' examines how artists continue to draw from and contribute to the dialogue between humanity and its environment.
