Group Exhibition
Founded by artists Sarah Braman, Suzanne Butler, Phil Grauer, and Wallace Whitney in 1999, CANADA has established itself as one of New York's most adventurous artist-run galleries. A pioneer on the Lower East Side art scene, CANADA offered early solo exhibitions to artists like Joe Bradley, Katherine Bernhardt, and Xylor Jane. Now located in two spaces on Lispenard Street in Tribeca, the gallery remains unconventional in its structure and divergent in its programming, promoting art in an irreverent, serious, and approachable way.
