Essex Flowers is an artist-run collective and gallery launched in 2013, originally located in the basement of a Lower East Side flower shop. Now located at 19 Monroe Street near the Manhattan Bridge in the Chinatown corridor, the gallery serves as a showcase for emerging artists working across various media including sculpture, photography, and installation. The gallery explores themes such as the impermanent nature of life, ephemeral qualities of time and memory, and the relationship between humanity and the natural world.
